“Warm Horizon” Prints
Original oil on reclaimed wood panel
Oil wash on handmade panel. An experiment really driving out of California and going through mountains the colours of a late summer evening that just seemed to melt into one another. It was a lot of fun to drip the colours onto the panel. This piece being about colour only. I had no reference or inspiration other than experimenting with colours from a memory. I didn’t sketch anything or take a photo. Just came home a few weeks later and started dripping some paint. There is nothing to let a viewer know where I was, just colours blending together in the spirit of Abstract Expression and thinking more about the expressive power of colour.
Description
